The Bells of Norwich

All Shall Be Well Again,  A song of hope.

This song, The Bells of Norwich by English historian, folk singer and song writer, Sydney Carter was inspired by Julian of Norwich, a 14th century philosopher, mystic and anchoress of the Church of Norwich in England.  She wrote the first book in the English Language by a woman, Revelations of Divine Love. Although Julian lived during the Black Death as well as civil war, her theology was optimistic.  In our present turmoil then, we reach back in time to draw strength and hope from Julian of Norwich.  In her words:  “And all will be well, all manner of things shall be well.” To learn more about Julian of Norwich: https://www.ancient.eu/Julian_of_Norwich/
